Potassium Silicate 5 Litre - K2O + SiO2 use 1ml per litre

Horticultural Potassium silicate is used as a soluble source of Potassium & Silica. Used as a supplement in your garden it has numerous benefits, increasing the availability of silicon compounds which are valuable to a plant. Plant stems thicken, the plant becomes more tolerant to drought and resists wilting, and the plant will benefit with larger leaves and flowers - fruit. The thicker cell walls of the plant also provides an added mechanical resistance to sap sucking insects like spider mite and various pathogenic fungi like powdery mildew

  • Use 1ml per litre of stock solution, the product works best when diluted before adding to your main reservoir - tank.
  • 1ml per Litre equates to 1000ppm of product which yields K2O at 27ppm and SiO2 at 53ppm, you can increase to 2ml per Litre if a higher ppm is required
  • Stronger plants with thicker stems can support more weight
  • Provides a mechanical resistance to sap sucking insects and various pathogenic fungi 
  • It will make the growing medium and reservoir stock solution slightly more alkaline
  • 24 hours after you have dosed your reservoir tank you should check your pH levels and adjust as required
