Pruners also known as Pruning shears or Secateurs are an ideal & necessary gardening plant maintenance trimming tool. Pruning of most plants is a job that needs to be done to promote plant health, control plant growth, encourage flower & fruit production. It also very important to remove old dead or diseased plant material. Quality cutting tools with sharp blades is essential for all gardeners. If your cutting tools are blunt, rusty or covered in dried plant material from the last time you used them you could be creating entry points for pests and diseases. Blunt pruning tools don’t cut cleanly and will leave the bare ends of your plants stems and branches jagged and frayed, and this can only lead to problems. 

To improve the life span of your pruner clean the cutting blades after use and oil lightly as required
