Weed N Feed 2 Litre Yates

  • $20.00

Walking barefoot through fresh green grass is one of life’s great pleasures. But when the soft spring of fresh lawn gets replaced with scratchy, rough weeds, it’s time to sort it out!

Yates Weed ‘n’ Feed Hose-On can control large areas of broadleaf weeds including Onehunga weed, catsear, daisy, clover, chickweed, chamomile, dock, thistle and dandelion. Because weeds are most effectively controlled when in the early stages of growth, Weed ‘n’ Feed is best applied before weeds flower and set seed

Yates Weed ‘n’ Feed Hose-On contains fast-acting plant hormones, which are absorbed by the weeds and transferred to their roots. This causes them to curl and yellow, before being eradicated within four weeks. It’s safe to use on several varieties of grass and turf (except non-grass lawns and Buffalo) leaving grass green and upright

As well as effectively eradicating weeds, it also contains a fertiliser that contains nitrogen to encourage lush green leaves and a stronger lawn, and iron to promote a rich green colour through your lawn

The hose-on formula couldn’t be easier to use. The on/off switch means you can attach it straight to your garden hose and spray your lawn directly. The wetting agent gives improved spray coverage and leaf penetration, making it work quickly and effectively. Once the spray has dried, grass is safe for pets and children

Fewer weeds, greener grass, minimal effort!

FEATURES

  • Easy to apply, hose-on
  • Selectively kills the most common broadleaf weeds in lawns, including Onehunga weed, clover, dandelions and thistles
  • Contains nitrogen and iron to promote a lush deep green lawn, phosphorus to promote strong root development and potassium for disease resistance
  • Contains wetting agent for improved spray coverage and leaf penetration

INGREDIENTS

2L (Treats 130m2)

Active Constituents:

15g/L MCPA as the Dimethylamine Salt, 2.3g/L Dicamba present as the Dimethylamine Salt

Guaranteed Analysis:

Total Nitrogen (N) as Urea 115g/L 11.5%w/vIron (Fe) as chelated Iron 1.25g/L 0.13%w/v

HOW IT WORKS

MCPA and Dicamba are plant hormones which are absorbed by foliage and translocated to roots. The weed is forced into excessive disordered growth which leads to gradual curling and yellowing and then death of the weed within 4 weeks

Plant/situation;

Lawns and turf (Except BUFFALO GRASS)

Weeds controlled;

Most broadleaf weeds: including Onehunga (prickle) weed, capeweed, clovers, cudweed, dandelion, dock, lambs tongue (plantain), thistles and wireweed

Appilcation rate;

 Apply the contents of this bottle over 130 square metres (2L size) or 260 square metres (4L size). Measure lawn area before application. Apply when weeds are growing actively

How to apply;

Shake the pack well before use

Connect to hose on applicator. You will need to have a click on hose connector

Lift plastic flap at front of applicator nozzle, ensuring the flap is completely upright

Turn on the tap using moderate to high water pressure. Water mixes automatically with concentrate in the proper ratio

Walk and spray lawn at a steady pace whilst sweeping the spray in a back-and-forth arc. Overlap treated areas slightly. Keep bottle upright - do not point at the ground

Use caution when applying near garden beds and shrubs

Close plastic flap on nozzle top prevent spillage of any unused product before storing. Always store product upright

Weeds will die slowly, effects may take up to 3 weeks to appear

WARNING

Do not use on buffalo lawns or lawns less than 3 months old. Do not use on lippia, dichondra, strawberry clover. Do not allow spray to drift onto garden plants or other plants you do not want killed. Do not mow or fertilise 7 days before or after application. Do not apply to lawns suffering stress. Do not feed treated clippings to poultry, livestock or use as mulch

CAUTION

  • DO NOT apply on or around food or animal feed crops
  • DO NOT use on new lawns less than 3 months old
  • DO NOT use on Lippia, Dichondra or strawberry clover lawns
  • DO NOT use on Buffalo lawns
  • DO NOT lift bottle by sprayer, always use the handle
