Carbon Filter details

Pro Grow Carbon Filter 125mm x 300mm - 35mm Carbon Bed - No1 grade 4/8 Australian Carbon

- 425 Cubic Metre per hour Airflow

- Highly effective, low density Australian virgin carbon

- Machine packed carbon enables 100% filtered air flow

- Inner and outer mesh provides 53% open area allowing increased air flow

- Unique dust atracting black pre-filter sock is included and comes with two easy-to-fit elastic pre-filter straps. This should be washed periodically to maintain the filters life

- Black powder coated top flange and base

- Switchable filter flange and base for longer lifetime

Using only sieved and de-dusted Australian activated carbon, every batch is analysed and tested to ensure it meets 950ID or higher. All carbon particle sizes are 4/12 US mesh or larger, ensuring the highest achievable airflow ratings. Every canister is weighed after manufacture to ensure consistency with every single filter made. Expect a minimum of 2 years life and up to five years life span in low humidity environments.

Carbon filtering is a method of filtering that uses a bed of activated carbon to remove contaminants and impurities, using chemical adsorption.

Each particle, or granule, of carbon provides a large surface area, or pore structure, allowing contaminants the maximum possible exposure to the active sites within the filter media. One gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 3,000 m2 (32,000 sq ft).

Active charcoal carbon filters are most effective at removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) Connect them to your exhaust fan, forcing all the extracted air from your grow room to pass through the filter.

A carbon filter has the ability to literally scrub the smell from the air. Therefore, when a smell passes through the carbon, it is completely neutralized. In fact, the filter is capable of not only removing smells, but will also remove other impurities from the air.

Don’t be fooled by cheap copies ensure you use only the highest grade 4/8 Australian Carbon. Progrow carbon has been independently Analysed in a laboratory before the filter is manufactured to ensure it has a minimum 20% butane absorption and will provide the lightest least restrictive air flow and also deliver maximum impurity filtration.

The Prima Klima PK125-TC is highly efficient temperature controlled inline duct fan equipped with an ebm-papst RadiCal centrifugal motor or MES AC motor with backward curved blades which has been optimally adapted to the housing. The entire housing is made of high impact resistant, flame proof polyamide (nylon). Maintenance free long lasting ball bearings contribute to especially smooth running of the motor. The control system, the connections and the capacitor are fully integrated into the housing. With the use of the supplied mounting bracket the fan can be easily and safely attached to the wall or ceiling in any position.

Equipped with an electronic control of the airflow: once the temperature is set using the rotating switch, a sensor will increase the speed if the temperature is above the selected temp by 1°C and decrease the speed if the temperature drops below the selected temp by 1°C. It will run at your preset minimum speed while it is running within the set temperature range.

Centrifugal fans are a mechanical device for moving air. Centrifugal fans often contain a ducted housing to direct outgoing air in a specific direction these fans increase the speed and volume of an air stream with the rotating impellers.

Centrifugal fans use the kinetic energy of the impellers to increase the volume of the air stream, which in turn moves against the resistance caused by ducts, dampers and other components. Centrifugal fans displace air radially. They are sturdy, quiet, reliable, and capable of operating over a wide range of conditions.

Centrifugal fans are constant-displacement or constant-volume devices, meaning that, at a constant fan speed, a centrifugal fan moves a relatively constant volume of air rather than a constant mass. This means that the air velocity in a system is fixed even though the mass flow rate through the fan is not. Centrifugal fans are not positive displacement devices and centrifugal fans have certain advantages and disadvantages when contrasted with positive-displacement blowers, Centrifugal fans are more efficient, whereas positive-displacement blowers may have a lower capital cost.

The Centrifugal fan is one of the most widely used fans. Centrifugal fans are by far the most prevalent type of fan used in the HVAC industry today. They are used in transporting gas or materials and in ventilation systems for buildings and vehicles. They are also well-suited for industrial processes and air pollution control systems.
